I used to wait until something was “ready” before putting it out into the world. Over time, I learned that the way to get something ready was precisely to put it out into the world, to give it space to become. It is only in the sharing that the idea comes to life. At least that’s how it works for me.
So welcome to this home for my creative endeavors as they unfold. I will publish poems and musings and go back and edit them later, because I am an ever-evolving creature and have the luxury of living in an era when the technology of the day is the internet, not the printing press.
I want arriving into this internet home to feel like entering my real-life actual, physical home: it feels lived in and eclectic and cared for and thoughtful but not pretentious. I expect you to make yourself comfortable and find your way to the pantry, even if you’ve never been here before. I will put water on to boil and pull out an array of warm beverage options and tell you to pick out whichever mug speaks to you in this moment.
So make yourself at home. May you find something here that helps you feel a tad more connected with me, or perhaps more importantly, with yourself.
There’s a special button to switch the site between day and night mode. Can you find it?
